Children search for natural materials on a scavenger hunt to make their own paints. The clay, mud, roots, petals, leaves, chalk and homemade charcoal are ground up to make the water paints. Children then create their own Painshill wild woodland animal using sticks, feathers and finger painting techniques.
Woodland Art Workshop
Children explore shapes, colours and textures by gathering natural materials on the forest floor to create a giant collage of a Painshill woodland animal. The workshops include play and games to encourage awareness of natural shapes and colours.
Each activity is a half day session. Book another activity for the rest of the day or go exploring with a self-led trail.
