Discover the fascinating history of Mount Felix, one of Walton-on-Thames’ most significant historic estates.

Local historian Nick Pollard explores the story of Mount Felix, its house and grounds, and the remarkable people and events connected with it.

Discover its links to the builder of the first Walton Bridge, an early star of the cricketing world and a pioneer of orchid cultivation, as well as its connections with filmmaker Cecil Hepworth. Nick will also explore one of the most poignant chapters in Mount Felix’s history, when the estate became a hospital for wounded New Zealand soldiers during the First World War.
