Join Renée AKA The Girl who Gardens at the Spring Wreath Workshop and make a seasonal wreath to celebrate spring.
You will begin by making a moss and wire base. Renée will then show you how to add bulbs, spring plants, foliage and flowers gathered from the garden or foraged from the hedgerow. You will also have the opportunity to add decorations that symbolise spring to create your own beautiful and whimsical wreath.
Spring flowers were traditional collected on Mayday to decorate houses, churches, maypoles and to make garlands and crowns to celebrate Beltane and the fertility of the warmer seasons. So join us to make your own wreath to celebrate the change in seasons.
All materials will be provided to create a wreath full of greenery and colour. Please bring gloves, secateurs and any decorations if you want to personalise your wreath.
The Spring Wreath Workshop workshop will take place indoors at the Painshill Visitor Centre.
