Surrey’s Space4Nature project, which uses satellite imagery and Artificial Intelligence to track biodiversity in the county, will launch at Painshill on Sun 25 June.
We are inviting everyone to get involved in a ‘bio blitz’ and save Surrey’s wildlife!
On the day, visitors to Painshill can help track the species that can be found in the landscape by recording what wildflowers, bugs, butterflies and birds they spot. The data recorded will feed directly into the plan to boost biodiversity in Surrey.
During the day, free wildlife themed activities, guided walks and talks for all the family will include:
10:30am – Earth Search Bug Hunt
10:45am – Butterfly Guided Walk
11am – Bird Guided Walk
11:30am, 1pm & 3pm – Nature Safari with The Surrey Wildlife Trust
12:30pm – FIT count training
2pm & 4pm – Bug Hunting with BugLife
1:30pm – Dragons and Damsels with the British Dragonfly Society
3pm – History of Painshill Walk
4pm – Trees of Painshill Walk
While you are at Painshill, why not also walk the Bugs and Butterflies Trail and explore the whole landscape.
All these activities, including the trail, are included in the price of general admission. Simply book tickets for Painshill for Sun 25 June.
