Huw Davies
Chief Executive Officer
I’m honoured to be Chief Executive Officer of Painshill Park, the extraordinary Grade I listed 18th-century landscape in Surrey, created by Charles Hamilton between 1738 and 1773.
I’ve spent more than 20 years working across the arts, culture and business, leading organisations, building partnerships, developing audiences and strengthening financial sustainability. Before joining Painshill, I spent 14 years with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, most recently as Deputy Managing Director and Director of Business Development. Earlier in my career I was Managing Director of the London Chamber Orchestra and held a senior role with the Institute for Family Business.
What attracted me to Painshill is the extraordinary combination of beauty, history and imagination that makes it such a special place. I’m excited by the opportunity to build on its strong foundations – increasing its profile and reach, developing new audiences and partnerships, and ensuring that this remarkable landscape is protected and enjoyed by future generations.
I’m also a Trustee of ArtsEd and began my career as a professional cellist, following my studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
I look forward to welcoming you to Painshill.
Things to see & Do
