Our Trustees

HH Christopher Critchlow DL

His Honour Christopher Critchlow DL was a barrister in London before his appointment as a Circuit Judge in 2000, and thereafter he was the Resident Judge of Guildford Crown Court and the Hon. Recorder of Guildford until his retirement in 2016. He is involved with several Surrey charities as a trustee or ambassador, and for many years was a governor and then Vice Chairman of Governors of RGS Guildford. As a resident of Surrey since 1985 he and his family have long appreciated the beauty of Painshill. As a new trustee, he wishes to see more people visiting the Park and its continuing restoration.

Things to see & Do

Painshill is an award-winning 18th century landscape garden where you are invited to walk around a work of art. Winding paths will take you on a journey to discover a living canvas with beautiful vistas and dramatically placed garden buildings. Stroll around the Serpentine Lake, wander through woodland and promenade past follies, including the Ruined Abbey, Gothic Temple and Turkish Tent.
