Our Trustees
David Taylor
David Taylor is an historian, writer and speaker. A life time resident of Cobham, David’s early interest in Painshill created public interest in the park which led to the creation of The Friends of Painshill, a group that was instrumental in securing the acquisition of the park and its restoration. He was one of the original trustees. David’s background is in the legal profession and the charity sector and he was awarded a PhD from the University of Roehampton. He is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and Chairman of the Surrey History Trust.
Things to see & Do
Painshill is an award-winning 18th century landscape garden where you are invited to walk around a work of art. Winding paths will take you on a journey to discover a living canvas with beautiful vistas and dramatically placed garden buildings. Stroll around the Serpentine Lake, wander through woodland and promenade past follies, including the Ruined Abbey, Gothic Temple and Turkish Tent.
