Join Renée AKA The Girl who Gardens to make a Kilner Jar Terrarium and bring some botanical charm to your home or someone else’s home.
Terrariums were first created in the Victorian era, came back into fashion in the 70s and have now returned as we seek to green up our homes. In essence they are a garden in a sealed glass container. The sealed container makes a micro-climate which means these little green oasis are easy to look after and make a brilliant gift.
At the workshop, Renée will show you how to add all the ingredients and plants to create a mini garden to bring some of nature’s Vitamin G to your front room.
Please bring secateurs and gloves to wear if you wish. All materials will be provided.
The Terrarium Workshop will take place indoors at the Painshill Visitor Centre.
