Get ready to uncover the tiny wonders of the natural world with Bug Life Explorers at Painshill. This fun, family-friendly outdoor adventure invites children and grown-ups to head off the beaten path and discover the incredible insects living all around us.
Armed with pots and identification guides, families can go bug hunting in some of the best natural habitats in Painshill – from leaf litter to logs and low-hanging branches. We will try gentle tree shaking to see what bugs might be hiding above and log lifting to see what might be hiding below, plus we’ll explore why these environments make the perfect homes for beetles, spiders, woodlice and more.
Hands-on, educational and full of fresh-air fun, Bug Life Explorers is a fantastic way for families to connect with nature, learn about important ecosystems, and see Painshill from a whole new perspective.
