Mindfulness through Photography – Wellbeing Week 2020

August 26

Mindfulness through Photography

Wednesday 26th August 2020, 9.30am – 12pm

We all live in a hectic world – partially with everything currently going on. Even in externally quiet moments, our minds are busily chattering away with what ifs and rehashes of what was. It can be difficult to find the path to calm within this clamour.

In this morning session, you will embark upon a journey of creative visual exercises to reach a space of mindfulness through attention, curiosity and reflection. You will learn how to authentically connect to yourself and the world around you within a space of calm and non-judgmental acceptance.

No special equipment is required. Each activity can be done with a camera as simple as the one in your phone.

No special skills are required. You can be a camera expert or notice, a meditation guru or complete beginner. You only need to bring the willingness to slow down, to see and capture the present moment and to reflect on your experience.

Led by Athena Carey
