We are celebrating World Book Day
On Sunday 10th March Painshill will be celebrating World Book Day with free entry for all under 16s and a host of fun activities for all the family.
Take a walk through a magical landscape of fairy tales with our special book themed trail. Find clues as you stroll through the spring flowers and discover lots of wonderful book characters on your way.
Build a treasure island with Captain Hook, get dramatic with the Fairy Godmother’s dress up box and see if you can spot Rapunzel in the Gothic Tower.
Crafts, storytelling, face painting* and more will be available from 11am – 3pm.
If you are feeling adventurous why not try your hand at archery or simply sit back with a good read in our beautiful garden.
Take your literary love further by taking part in our Big Book Exchange (bring your old books with you!) or by visiting Cobham Bookshop’s pop-up store.
Plus don’t forget to come dressed up as your favourite character for a chance to win prizes!
If you have children’s books which you would like to donate to the Big Book Exchange before the event then please drop them off at our Visitor Centre. Every book would be greatly appreciated.
*please note extra charges apply for some of the activities. Cash only.
Free entry for children under 16 years of age (offer applies on Sunday 10th March 2019 only). Normal admission applies to other visitors.
Some activities, such as the face painting, have a small extra charge. Please note we can only take cash.
