Relax and unwind with a slow, gentle Botanical Drawing and Painting Workshop
Friday 28th June 2019
10.30am – 1.00pm
Go with the flow they say – and what better way to do so than to learn how to loosen up your drawing technique and slow down your approach to watercolour painting with a super gentle botanical drawing and painting workshop? We’ll kick off the session learning how to draw fragrant herbs from the Painshill kitchen garden – using fine liners and brush pens. This will be followed by a gentle introduction to working with artist quality watercolours – creating glazes from these high pigment paints and playing with wet on wet watercolours to create blooming studies of beautiful seasonal flowers.
Suitable for all levels and aimed at helping you slow down and go with the flow whilst your technical skill and confidence grow.
Led by Ellie Green, Founder and Director of Surrey Art School
Location: the class will be held on the top of Painshill’s tree lined amphitheatre, under the shelter of a marquee, with views across the Surrey countryside. The amphitheatre is approximately 0.7k from the Visitor Centre. Please wear appropriate clothing/footwear and bring a bottle of water.
Includes access to Painshill landscape.
Organised in aid of Painshill Park Trust Limited, registered charity in England and Wales (284944). We rely on fundraising to preserve and maintain Painshill for future generations so your support is very important to us.
