Autumn Specials: Parent & Child Forest School
Throughout Autumn, we will be running exciting, one-off Forest School activity sessions where parents and children can really get to grips with some of our favourite Forest School activities. Read on to find out more…
Wonderful Wildlife (Tuesday 6th October)
Come with us on a wildlife safari in the woods. We will track badgers, rabbits and deer, listen to birds’ songs and take a peek under the logs and leaves for beetles and bugs. Our expert Forest School leader will be able to teach you the difference between a robin and a blackbirds song, a ground beetle and a leaf bug, badger poo and fox poo and a weasel and a stoat. With lots of fun facts for grown-ups and hands-on exploring and play for little ones, everyone is sure of a fun time.
Storytelling Round the Campfire (Tuesday 13th October)
Follow the silly storyteller into the magical forest and join in with his funny, folky fairytale. There will be lots of games, dressing up and joining in with a special happy-ever-after ending round the campfire.
Little Houses (Tuesday 20th October)
Come with us to search the woods for a place to set up camp. Parents and children will work together to find sticks and build an amazing den out of leaves, sticks and natural materials. Decorate your den with beautiful autumn leaves and woven willow. This is a great activity for children aged 3 years and up.
If you are still full of beans after, entry into Painshill is included in the price and our tearoom does hearty children’s lunches and a mean flat white!
Cost: £15 per child per session. The cost is per pre-school child, adults do not need to book a place for themselves. Children under 2 years are welcome to accompany a paying sibling
Times: 10am – 11:30pm or 1pm – 2:30pm
