Cliveden Conservation Workshop are awarded contract Posted: 20/02/2012 Painshill are delighted to announce that Cliveden Conservation Workshop Ltd. have been awarded the contract for the restoration of the Crystal Grotto. The restoration project, which is being funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, will commence in March 2012 with a detailed survey of the interior followed by the design development. More Information

Donation of tools from Bulldogs Tools Posted: 20/02/2012 Bulldog Tools, who have been helping English Gardens look their best since 1780, have donated a selection of garden tools worth £875 to Painshill. This generous donation means the Painshill landscape team will have enough tools for volunteers and apprentices to be involved in a variety of landscaping projects. More Information

Rebuilding of the Five Arch Bridge Posted: 04/11/2011 Painshill announces that the rebuilding of the Five Arch Bridge is planned to commence in spring 2012. The project, which is being funded by a private trust, is a key focus of Painshill Restoration Programme. More Information

Painshill launches new Saturday volunteer group Posted: 12/01/2012 Painshill is launching a new Heritage Landscape Volunteer Group which will run on one Saturday per month. This new volunteering group is being set up for people who not only want to gain heritage and conservation work experience but also for those who want to get fit and active in the fresh air at weekends. Painshill Park Trust receives The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service Posted: 02/06/2011 Painshill Park Trust is delighted to announce that its loyal team of volunteers has received The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the MBE for groups of volunteers who work in their local community for the benefit of others. This prestigious UK National Honour recognises outstanding voluntary contributions and sets the national benchmark for excellence in volunteering, with the work of those awarded being judged of the highest standard. Painshill celebrates its American connections Posted: 26/07/2011 The Hon Louis B Susman, United States Ambassador to the Court of St James’ visited Painshill, to mark 225 years since the 2nd and 3rd Presidents of the US, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, visited the 18c landscape gardens in 1786. As part of the celebrations, Ambassador Susman unveiled an architectural model of the Temple of Bacchus. More Information

HRH The Prince of Wales visits Painshill Posted: 26/05/2011 His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, Royal Patron of Painshill Park Trust, visited Painshill today to view the ongoing restoration of the 18th century landscape and its iconic follies and to unveil a plaque commemorating the rebuild of the historic Five Arch Bridge. The Prince of Wales met many of the staff and volunteers who have contributed so much to the ongoing transmogrification of Painshill since his last visit in 1995, and helped them to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Trust.
