Team Challenge
We offer two principal activities, our Painshill Murder Mystery and our Treasure Hunt. Both are full out door activities providing the opportunity to explore this incredible landscape. Each activity is designed for up to thirty participants and offer the scope to work as individuals, small teams and together as a whole group.
Painshill Treasure Hunt
This activity requires small groups to work together to solve a series of problems in the form of crossword clues as they find their route through the park. You can opt for the two hour short version which takes a route around the pleasure garden with its follies and lake. Alternatively the more challenging three hour route which will take you to the far flung wild woodland, with its amazing views into the Surrey countryside, hermitage and tower. Upon completion of the route and its challenges the teams will meet to share the clues they find and dig up the buried treasure. The basic treasure package will always include free entrances vouchers, or you can upgrade the treasure to goodies from our shop. The wine from our vineyard is always a popular choice!
Painshill Murder Mystery
This Whodunnit has a 18th Century twist, and will test team work and problem solving to your teams’ limits. This is a much more rigorous team effort than the treasure hunt. Teams split up and scour the park for clues. You can either hire our team of actors to play the parts of the suspects and witnesses or simply discover their statements alongside possible murder weapons and various clues and red herrings. You can chose whether you would like this event to be a competition between teams or a co-operative effort when we meet together to unmask the villain! Like the treasure hunt you can chose from a range of reward prizes.
Facilities
As well as our engaging activities we can offer excellent facilities for small groups, with a main function room and two smaller function rooms. We offer complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits upon arrival and can provide lunches, snacks and wine tasting. Our location in the centre of Cobham makes us well situated for pubs and restaurant after your day out. If you require a larger scale venue Painshill Events can offer the use of an elegant marquee in our walled garden.
