Tresco is home to the world famous subtropical Abbey Gardens. Warmed by the Gulf Stream, plants from all around the world can grow outside here, and the gardens have famously been described as being like the hot house at Kew with the lid taken off. Discover the story behind the extraordinary gardens and what it was like to work and live in such an isolated community.
