Wild Halloween Camp

Event date: October 24, 2016

Have a wild time this Halloween with den building, woodland craft, campfires, treasure hunts and spooky adventures.

Monday: Deep Dark Woods: Head into the deep dark woods to build a hut fit for the wickedest of witches. Sit round the campfire and then enjoy an afternoon of spooky woodland wide-games.

Tuesday: Monster madness: Build monstrous sandcastle lairs, make reed witches and wizards and mould a messy mud monster. Build a bonfire to make charcoal and draw, mould and splatter a terrifying monster mask.

Wednesday: (FULLY BOOKED) Trick-or-treat treasure hunt. Search the spooky ruined Abbey and Gothic Temple to find the geocache treat. On the way face the tricky challenges including blindfold woodland trail, blasting bottle rockets and set tipi camps in the woods for lunch.

Thursday: Halloween Feast! Use fire steels to light a campfire and cook a Halloween feast of witch-fingers-in-a-bun with extra blood (hotdogs and ketchup!) and toasted-eye-balls (marshmallows!). As the sun sets, carve lanterns to light your way home.

Friday: Wild Dens Halloween Special: An extra-long den building session; decorate dens with spider web dream catchers and paint them with mud, smashed chalk and home-made charcoal.
