With an emphasis on movement, physical connection and sensory exploration of surroundings, this activity can be modified for each group. Pupils will use natural materials to create a woodland collage, paint outdoors and experiment with leaf rubbing.
Children search for natural materials on a scavenger hunt to make their own paints. The clay, mud, roots, petals, leaves, chalk and home-made charcoal are ground up to make the water paints. Children then create their own Painshill wild woodland animal using sticks, feathers and finger painting techniques.
Enjoy indoor art and craft workshops including mask, puppet, natural craft and painting.
