Grotto Steward Volunteers
Painshill urgently requires heritage and conservation enthusiasts to help with the stewarding of the crystal Grotto. This important historic folly is currently undergoing major restoration which is being funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
To enable local residents, visitors and schools to see this exciting transformation, Painshill is building a team of voluntary Grotto Stewards. The stewards will help with creating awareness by talking to visitors about the history of the Grotto and its current restoration.
This new volunteer opportunity is ideal for anyone who can spare a minimum of three hours a month at the weekend (weekday opportunities also available) and that has an interest in heritage and conservation. Good communication skills and bags of enthusiasm are needed – Painshill will provide all the necessary training.
Grotto Stewards need to be over 18, and have a good level of fitnessVolunteers are required to comply with Painshill Park Trust Ltd policies at all times.
