Painshill Park would not be what it is today without the continued support and hard work of a dedicated team of volunteers. More than 120 volunteers help in the day to day running of the Park as well as assist in special events including fund raising events essential to the ongoing restoration of the Park.
Volunteers join us from a variety of backgrounds and for a number reasons. Whether you are retired, taking a career break, needing a new challenge, wishing to complete your service section of the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme or simply have a few hours to spare and would like to do something different then look no further as we have a number of opportunities. Please note that for any of our opportunities you must be able to fulfil our key criteria.
Key Criteria
- Good customer service manner
- Demonstrate good communication skills
- Be available to undertake a minimum of 4 hours per fortnight ** n/a for the Education Dept
- Be available to attend relevant training courses when required throughout the year.
- Compliance with Painshill Park Regulations
- Minimum age 14, no upper age limit.

Volunteer Opportunities
Currently we have a volunteer opportunities in the following areas
- Gardeners- (Monday-Friday)
- Stewarding our 18th Crystal Grotto ( Weekends and bank holidays)
- General handyman skills.
- Park Rangering
- Assisting in the Visitor Centre-providing a warm welcome, information,selling tickets and memberships to our public.
- Assisting within the Education Dept whether admin work or helping with school visits and weekend events
- Hosting and running children birthday parties ( holiday and weekend )
