Woodlander
An introduction to Survival Skills, Plantsmanship and Bush craft
An excellent opportunity to get out of the office, get air in your lungs and dirt on your hands! Combining elements of survival skills and an introduction to the wild flora, this activity is a great introduction to the great outdoors and a great way to bond with your colleagues.
Here are some of the activities involved!
Orienteering: The Painshill Staff go over the basic principals of compasses and maps. Teams navigate across the park.
Shelter Building: Teams meet up in the far west end of the park. After instructions from the Painshill Staff teams construct bivouac shelter using natural materials. Extra points for creativity!
Trails & Challenges: Team mates tackle the woodland team challenges.
Useful Plants: As attendees make their way back to the visitor centre the Painshill Staff member will show the group where to forage for plants you can eat, cure flu with, or even make clothes out of.
