For Scouts and Guides

Painshill Park is one of Europe's most important landscapes, offering a huge range of educational opportunities for students of all ages to a range of topics:

Super Scouting Adventures at Painshill Park for all cubs, brownies, beavers and scouts! These activities are our suggestions for activities that can contribute towards attaing a badge.

Beavers, Cubs & Scouts:

Art Badge: Painting in the Park - Come and get inspired! Use your artistic talent to make a marvellous model of our Ruined Abbey and draw the people, animals (or monsters!) that might live there.

Adventure Badge: Camp Building - Pack provisions, plot a route and set off on your Adventure. After hiking to the western woods build bivouacs with materials from the forest floor.

Naturalist Badge: Nature Explorers - You will need eagle eyes for this badge as we track down birds and beasties then finish off with a super woodland scavenger hunt!

Navigator Badge: Pirate Bill's Treasure Hunt - Can you hunt down Pirate Bill's long lost buried treasure? Follow the treasure map, and use a compass, a tape measure and the pirate's cunning clues: you might strike gold!

Scientist Badge Part A: Fix the Wheel - Oh no, the waterwheel is broken! Can you help us fix it? Experiment with pumps, gears and models and make the wheel work.

Scientist Badge Part B: Lake Dipping - Grab your nets and discover the creatures  that lurk in our lake! After collecting the watery wildlife we will take a closer look under the video microscope!

Rainbows, Brownies & Guides:

Artist: Come and get inspired! Create a collage out of leaves, sticks and whatever you can find, write a perfect poem and make a huge art tree!

Brownie Camper: Pack provisions, plot a route and set off on your Adventure. After hiking to the western woods build bivouacs with materials from the forest floor.

Naturalist: You will need eagle eyes for this badge as we track down animals, birds and beasties , pay a visit to the sheep and finish off with some super animal art!

Out and About: Can you hunt down Pirate Bill's long lost buried treasure? Use your map, compass and the pirate's cunning clues and you might strike gold!

Science Investigator: Oh no, the waterwheel is broken! Can you help us fix it? Experiment with pumps, gears and models and make the wheel work.

Wildlife Explorer: Let's look for some wonderful wildlife! Find the signs of wild animals, listen out for birds and pond dip for crazy creatures.
