Gardens are a wonderful resource for educational activities. Painshill Park is one of the most important 18th century parks in Europe; a unique opportunity to learn about Nature, Arts, History and Technology.
Painshill Education programme is aimed at all visitors to the park, from school students, to families and friends coming during the weekend and holiday time with the objective of offering a learning experience for all visitors! By maximising the value of the Park as an educational resource, we intend to engage a wider audience in our educational activities.
We recognise that there are barriers to entry that may prevent access for some education groups. These may be financial, cultural or the results of social exclusion for pupils from disadvantaged areas. These can also be linked with Special Needs for the pupils. We wish to ‘reach out’ to engage students and pupils from a diverse range of socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, and those with Special Needs. We believe that Painshill Park has an important role to play enriching the curriculum of these pupils.
